Castillos En El Aire
''Castillos en el aire'' (English: ''Castles in the Air'') is a 1938 American Spanish-language comedy-drama film. Directed by Jaime Salvador, the film stars Cristina Téllez, Rafael Alcaide, and Pilar Arcos. It was released on April 6, 1938. Plot Lolita Alvarez works as a secretary in a large bank in Europe. When she enters a contest in a local newspaper, she wins a trip to Hollywood, California. Coincidentally, one of her co-workers, Alberto Guzman, has been sent to the United States as well, on business. Lolita asks her aunt, Gertrudis to go with her on the trip, since she has two tickets. On the steamship bound for New York, Lolita hears that a prince is also on board. Determined to meet him, she bribes her way to be seated at the table next to where the prince is expected. Jaime Salvador Valls (4 November 1901 – 18 October 1976) was a Spanish screenwriter and film director of the Golden era of Mexican cinema. Andrés De Segurola
Andrés Perelló de Segurola (27 March 1874 – 23 January 1953) was a Spanish operatic bass. Biography He was born on 27 March 1874 in Valencia, Spain. He was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Company between 1901 and 1920 and later appeared in many films. He appeared as himself in the 1928 romantic comedy film ''The Cardboard Lover''. Towards the end of his career at the Metropolitan Opera, De Segurola also became an impresario. In 1916, he presented a four-week opera season at the Grand National Theatre in Havana, where his company included Geraldine Farrar and Pasquale Amato. After his retirement from the stage, he taught singing. Amongst his many pupils was Deanna Durbin. He married Mrs. John Bidlake in 1936. He died on 23 January 1953 in Barcelona, Spain. The ''Moving Picture World'' was an influential early trade journal for the American film industry, from 1907 to 1927. An industry powerhouse at its height, ''Moving Picture World'' frequently reiterated its independence from the film studios. In 1911, the magazine bought out ''Views and Film Index''.
