Castelnau Le Crès FC is a French football club located in Le Crès, Hérault, Languedoc-Roussillon. History Castelnau Le Crès FC was founded in 1995 in a merger between two neighbouring clubs, L'Entente Crèssoise and Entente de Castelnau. Le Crès began playing in the Division D'Honneur Languedoc-Roussillon in the 1995–96 season. They won the league in 2003 and were promoted to the CFA 2. The club spent three seasons in the CFA 2 from 2003 to 2006 and were relegated back to the DH Languedoc-Roussillon. The next season Le Crès were relegated to the Division Honneur Regionale, Languedoc-Roussillon where they remain today. Cédric Joqueviel (born July 21, 1982) is a French former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Career Early career in France Joqueviel was a member of the youth academy at French Championnat de France amateur 2 side Castelnau Le Crès, and played for both Montpellier and the senior Castelnau Le Crès team, before coming to North America in 2006. Canada Joqueviel signed with Montreal Impact of the USL First Division in 2007, but was sent on loan to Montreal's farm team, Trois-Rivières Attak in the Canadian Soccer League for the season. He helped Attak win the 2007 Open Canada Cup, and was named the team's most valuable player for the 2007 season. He graduated up to the senior Impact side in 2008, and played 19 first team games for the team in his debut season. A left back, Vignal played in the top division in five countries – England, France, Spain, Scotland and Greece – and in the second tier in a sixth, Germany. Grégory Carmona (born 17 January 1979) is a French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Carmona is the son of a former Montpellier player, Norbert Carmona, who made two appearances for the club in the 1977–78 season.
