José Carlos Castanho de Almeida (14 June 1930 – 27 February 2022) was a Brazilian Roman Catholic prelate. Castanho de Almeida was born in Guareí, Brazil, and was ordained to the priesthood in 1953. He served as titular bishop of 'Urusi' and as auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Santos, Brazil, from 1982 to 1987. He then served as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Itumbiara, Brazil, from 1987 to 1994 and as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Araçatuba, Brazil, from 1994 until his resignation in 2003. Luiz Castanho De Almeida
Luiz Castanho de Almeida (November 6, 1904 in Guareí - February 28, 1981, in Sorocaba) was a priest, historian and writer. Son of Colonel Anibal Castanho de Almeida and Ana Candida Rolim. He published several books under the pseudonym of Aluisio de Almeida. In 1918, he entered the seminary and attended Philosophy and Theology. Was ordered a priest on May 8, 1927, the Sorocaba Metropolitan Cathedral. After serving as a priest in Itararé, Itapetininga and Guareí in 1933 moved to Sorocaba, where he moved and took over the parish of "Bom Jesus dos Aflitos", in the neighborhood Alem-ponte, Sorocaba. Between 1940 and 1944, he was rector of the diocesan Minor Seminary of São Carlos Borromeu of Sorocaba. Thiago Raphael Castanho (born February 8, 1975) is a Brazilian guitarist, record producer, painter and sculptor, best known for being a founding member of alternative rock bands Charlie Brown Jr., Aliados, A Banca and O Legado, and for his subsequent work with Ira! and Capital Inicial. Biography Thiago Raphael Castanho was born in Santos, São Paulo on February 8, 1975, and would learn how to play the guitar with 13 years old, encouraged by a sister. Around 1988 he began performing in his first musical groups, meeting his future Charlie Brown Jr. bandmate Pinguim Ruas through one of them.
