Cassie Powney (born 22 May 1983) is an English actress, known for portraying the role of Mel Burton on the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks''. Career She played the role of Mel Burton in the soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' alongside her sister Connie, who played the role of Sophie Burton. She has been interested in acting since childhood and did a lot of twin roles with Connie, including a twin role in the 2003 film '' What a Girl Wants''. Eastbourne
Eastbourne () is a town and seaside resort in East Sussex, on the south coast of England, east of Brighton and south of London. Eastbourne is immediately east of Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain and part of the larger Eastbourne Downland Estate. The seafront consists largely of Victorian hotels, a pier, theatre, contemporary art gallery and a Napoleonic era fort and military museum. Though Eastbourne is a relatively new town, there is evidence of human occupation in the area from the Stone Age. The town grew as a fashionable tourist resort largely thanks to prominent landowner, William Cavendish, later to become the Duke of Devonshire.
