Cascade Surge
Cascade Surge was an American soccer team based in Salem, Oregon, United States. Founded in 1995, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2009, when the franchise folded and the team left the league. The team played its home games at McCulloch Stadium on the campus of Willamette University, where they played since 2004. The team's colors were blue and white. History The team from Salem first joined the old USISL Pro League in 1995 as Oregon Surge one of 20 expansion franchises; placed in the Northwest Division, the team was competitive from the get-go, finishing second in the table behind Hawaii Tsunami with a 14–6 records (ties were settled on penalties). McCulloch Stadium
McCulloch Stadium is a 2,500-seat outdoor stadium in the northwest United States, located in Salem, Oregon. Built in 1950, the multi-use facility serves as home to Willamette University's football and track & field teams, and high school football games. Located in Bush's Pasture Park south of Willamette's campus, the stadium includes a grandstand, football field, and track. History Charles E. McCulloch donated $50,000 to the school in June 1947 in order to build an athletic complex on at what is now Bush's Pasture Park. At the time, McCulloch was president of the university's board of trustees and an attorney in Portland where he was a partner at what is now Stoel Rives. Nevada Wonders were an American soccer team, founded in 2003. The team was a member of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid, until 2005, when the team left the league and the franchise was terminated. Andriy Budnyi (born 20 September 1982) is a Ukrainian footballer. Career College and Amateur In 2002, Budnyi attended Bard College. He transferred to San Jose State University in 2002. He then transferred to Azusa Pacific University, where he earned the 2005 Golden State Athletic Conference and Region II Player of the Year award. Calgary Storm Prospects (formerly the Calgary Storm Select) were a Canadian soccer team who played in the Premier Development League, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid in 2002 and 2003. The team was the official development team of the Calgary Storm of the USL A-League. They played their home games at Glenmore Park Stadium. History In 2002, the Calgary Storm moved their PDL team to the USL A-League from the PDL, but created a development team to replace the PDL side.
