Cartoon Pizza
Cartoon Pizza is an American animation studio located in Nashville, Tennessee. It was co-founded by Jim Jinkins and David Campbell as the successor to Jinkins' former company, Jumbo Pictures. A hallmark of both Jumbo Pictures and Cartoon Pizza has been their commitment to the continued use of hand-painted cel animation at a time when animated series are increasingly produced using digital ink and paint. The studio had partnered with several studios to help produce their shows, including Disney in 2001, Sesame Workshop in 2006, and Cuppa Coffee Studios. The studio was formerly headquartered in New York City until 2011, when the company relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. Jim Jinkins
James Jinkins (born August 8, 1953) is an American animator, cartoonist, and children's author. He is best known as the creator of the animated '' Doug'' television series which was later the basis for a feature film. Jinkins also created ''PB&J Otter'', as well as several other shows produced by his two companies, Jumbo Pictures and Cartoon Pizza. Background and career Jinkins was born in Richmond, Virginia, and lived there during his childhood. His experiences growing up in Richmond would serve as an inspiration for the fictional town of Bluffington, Virginia, in the series ''Doug''. Jinkins was also an actor on the old Nickelodeon series '' Pinwheel'' and ''Hocus Focus'', and a graphic designer on ''By the Way'' and ''Video Comics''. Doug's 1st Movie
''Doug's 1st Movie'' is a 1999 American animated comedy film based on the Disney-produced episodes of the animated television series '' Doug''. The film was directed by Maurice Joyce, and stars the regular television cast of Tom McHugh, Fred Newman, Chris Phillips, Constance Shulman, Frank Welker, Alice Playten, Guy Hadley, and Doris Belack. It was produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and Jumbo Pictures with animation provided by Plus One Animation, and released by Buena Vista Pictures on March 26, 1999. A ''Mickey Mouse Works'' short "Donald's Dynamite: Opera Box", was released with it. The film received mixed to negative reviews, who criticized its plot, writing, and character development.
