Cartel De Santa
Cartel de Santa is a Mexican rap group from Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico, founded by Hector Montaño and Ronaldo Sifuentes. The band started playing in 1999 as part of the Avanzada Regia musical movement and Artilleria Pesada. Currently composed by Eduardo Davalos de Luna, also known as MC Babo or Babo (lead vocals), Rowan Rabia (beatmaker) and DJ Agustín (only in live shows). They have been referred to as one of the most notable Mexican hip-hop groups. History Cartel de Santa started playing in 1996, when MC Babo and some friends began singing improvised rap songs. Resorte
Resorte (Spanish for " spring device") is a Mexican nu metal band formed in 1995. Biography Tavo, Juan Chávez and Carlos Sánchez formed the group in 1995. The band's birth occurred in sync with the emergence of the nu metal genre, which groups such as Rage Against the Machine and KoRn had already been promoting in the U.S. That same year, Resorte made an independent music video for "America" that was the band's first achievement and would become the band's anthem. This video fell into the hands of MTV and began receiving cable play, which enabled the group to be known. After many concerts, in June 1997, Resorte released '' República de Ciegos'' thru Discos Manicomio. These were moments of gestation for the musical movement that came in that spring. The Psycho Realm is an American hip hop group started in 1989 by brothers Sick Jacken (Joaquín Gonzalez) and Big Duke (Gustavo Gonzalez) from the Downtown, Pico-Union area of Los Angeles. History The first recorded Psycho Realm song, "Scandalous," was released on the soundtrack of the film, ''Mi Vida Loca'', in 1994. Chicano rap is a subgenre of hip hop that embodies aspects of Southwest Mexican American or Chicano culture. It is typically performed by rappers and musicians of Mexican descent.
