Carstensz East
Carstensz East (or East Carstensz Top, Carstensz Oriental, Carstensz Timor ) is a sub peak of Puncak Jaya Puncak Jaya (; literally "Glorious Peak") or Carstensz Pyramid, Mount Jayawijaya or Mount Carstensz () on the island of New Guinea, with an elevation of , is the highest mountain peak of an island on Earth. The mountain is located in the Sudi ... (or Carstensz Pyramid). It contains a small glacier like its nearby neighbors, but it is retreating rapidly. It is one of the only places in Indonesia with snow all year, but due to increase of temperature it could lose its snow in 2025. Central Papua
Central Papua, officially the Central Papua Province ( id, Provinsi Papua Tengah) is an Indonesian province located in the central region of Western New Guinea. It was formally established on 11 November 2022 from the former eight western regencies of the province of Papua. It covers an area of 66,130.49 km2 and had an estimated population of about 1,409,000 in mid 2021. Mountains Of Western New Guinea
A mountain is an elevated portion of the Earth's crust, generally with steep sides that show significant exposed bedrock. Although definitions vary, a mountain may differ from a plateau in having a limited summit area, and is usually higher than a hill, typically rising at least 300 metres (1,000 feet) above the surrounding land.
