Carson Entertainment Group (formerly Carson Productions and Carson Productions Group) is a television production company established by Johnny Carson in 1980. The company primarily produced ''The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'' from 1980 to 1992 and '' Late Night with David Letterman'' from 1982 to 1993. In addition, Carson Productions also produced many specials with Carson among other TV shows, including ''Teachers Only'' from 1982 to 1983, '' Partners in Crime'' from 1984 to 1985, ''Amen'' from 1986 to 1991 and ''TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes'' (co-produced with Dick Clark Productions) from 1984 to 1993. Johnny Carson
John William Carson (October 23, 1925 – January 23, 2005) was an American television host, comedian, writer and producer. He is best known as the host of ''The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'' (1962–1992). Carson received six Primetime Emmy Awards, the Television Academy's 1980 Governor's Award and a 1985 Peabody Award. He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1987. ''Lewis & Clark'' is an American sitcom television series that aired on NBC for one season from October 29, 1981 to July 30, 1982. The series stars Gabe Kaplan (who also created the series) and Guich Koock. Plot For a native New Yorker, Stewart Lewis (Gabe Kaplan) has a strange—some would say twisted—ambition: he wants to own a country-music club. His wife and kids hate the idea. MTM Enterprises (also known as MTM Productions) was an American independent production company established in 1969 by Mary Tyler Moore and her then-husband Grant Tinker to produce ''The Mary Tyler Moore Show'' for CBS.
