Carrier Aces
is a flight simulation game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995 Gameplay Players control an aircraft pilot of either the United States or the Japanese naval aviations during World War II. Based aboard an aircraft carrier, players can do numerous missions in an effort to help the war effort. Campaign modes allow for all aircraft to have their own statistics and allow players to carry certain types of aircraft into the combat zone. All aircraft come equipped with a throttle, a speedometer, an altimeter, a compass, and a fuel tank. Synergistic Software
Synergistic Software was a video game developer based in Seattle. Founded in 1978, the company published some of the earliest available games and applications for the Apple II family of computers. They continued developing games for various platforms into the late 1990s. History Synergistic was founded in 1978 by Robert Clardy and Ann Dickens Clardy. They developed the ''Dungeons & Dragons''-inspired ''Dungeon Campaign / Wilderness Campaign'' game, which was later expanded and repackaged as '' Odyssey: The Compleat Apventure''. Synergistic also published a number of business applications, including a word processor and simple database program, called ''The Modifiable Database''. An altimeter or an altitude meter is an instrument used to measure the altitude of an object above a fixed level. The measurement of altitude is called altimetry, which is related to the term bathymetry, the measurement of depth under water. A dogfight, or dog fight, is an aerial battle between fighter aircraft conducted at close range. Dogfighting first occurred in Mexico in 1913, shortly after the invention of the airplane. It was published monthly for 58 issues, beginning in December 1991 (cover-dated January 1992), with the last issue bearing the cover-date October 1996. A "1993 Annual" featuring reprint material and a poster magazine were also released during the magazine's lifetime. ''Super Play'' was a British Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) magazine which ran from 1 October 1992 to September 1996. Overview ''Super Play'' covered in great detail the role-playing video game genre. Many of these games were never released officially in the UK or European games market, and therefore the magazine concentrated much effort in covering aspects of the American, and moreover the Japanese games markets. It also featured in-depth, intelligent and passionate coverage of all aspects of gaming.
