Carrie Lawrence
Carrie Elizabeth Lawrence (born July 15, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Orlando Pride of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Early life Growing up in Orlando, Florida, Lawrence was an All-Metro and All-State Player for Timber Creek High School and was named Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player while capturing Metro and District championships. She also lettered in flag football at school. Lawrence played club soccer for Florida Kraze Krush, winning state and regional championships, and was also a member of the Region III Olympic Development Program team. College Lawrence was recruited to play college soccer by the University of South Carolina. The Orlando Pride is a professional women's soccer team based in Orlando, Florida. The team joined the National Women's Soccer League, the top level of women's soccer in the US, for the 2016 season. 2024 National Women's Soccer League Season
The 2024 National Women's Soccer League season is the twelfth season of the National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in the United States. Including the NWSL's two professional predecessors, Women's Professional Soccer (2009–2011) and the Women's United Soccer Association (2001–2003), it is the 18th overall season of FIFA and USSF-sanctioned top division women's soccer in the United States. The NWSL Shield is an annual award given to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team with the best regular season record as determined by the NWSL points system. The NWSL Shield has been awarded annually since 2013 and is recognized as a major trophy by the league.
