Emanuela Setti Carraro (; 9 October 1950 in Borgosesia – 3 September 1982 in Palermo) was an Italian nurse, and wife of General Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa. Less than two months after the marriage, she was the victim of a Sicilian Mafia AK-47 attack that also killed her husband and the escorting officer, Domenico Russo. Life She was born in Borgosesia, in the province of Vercelli, Piedmont, in 1950 by a family of the Milanese "good bourgeoisie". Emanuela followed her maternal engagement and graduated as a volunteer nurse of the Italian Red Cross. She paid special service at the Military Hospital in Milan and the operating rooms of the Institute of Surgical Pathology of the University of Milan. Franco Carraro (born 6 December 1939) is an Italian sport manager and politician. Career Carraro was born on 6 December 1939 in Padua, at the time Kingdom of Italy. He worked in many high-profile roles in the public and private sectors. He was the president of the from 1962 to 1976. That was followed by the presidency of Italian association football club Milan from 1967 to 1971. In the 1970s, Carraro worked in the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). He was president of Italy's top two football leagues, Serie A and Serie B, from 1973 to 1976, and was president of the FIGC from 1976 to 1978. Giuseppe Carraro
Giuseppe Carraro (26 June 1899 – 30 December 1980) was an Italian Roman Catholic prelate who served as the Bishop of Verona from 1958 until his retirement in 1978. He also served as the Bishop of Vittorio Veneto until his transferral to the see of Verona. Carraro has been implicated in the sexual abuse scandal perpetrated against deaf-mute students of the Provolo Institute. There have been a string of allegations against the late Carraro himself that prompted the cause for his beatification to be suspended around 2010 pending the results of the investigation. The cause resumed in 2012 after an investigation cleared Carraro of all charges despite discrepancies remaining over the late bishop's actions. He was considered a man of holiness and this allowed for his cause of beatification to be introduced in 2005 at which stage he was referred to as a Servant of God. Massimo Carraro (born 8 March 1959 in Camposampiero) is an Italian university professor, entrepreneur and politician from Veneto. From 1999 to 2004 he was a member of the European Parliament for the social-democratic Democrats of the Left, despite not being a member of the party.
