Carpinteria High School
Carpinteria High School is a high school located in Carpinteria, California. Located adjacent to the foothills on the edge of the Carpinteria Valley, it is the only public high school in Carpinteria and serves a student body of approximately 600 students in grades 9-12. Activities Carpinteria High School has many different clubs and societies available to students, including the California Scholastic Federation, Youth Wellness Connection club, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA), ASB Leadership, American Sign Language, Spanish Club, Environmental Club, Mock Trial, GSA, Interact Club, Eco Club, Red Cross Club, Friday Night Live, and Junior State of America, a debate team. High School

Matt Alonzo (born April 16, 1985) is an American director, video editor and filmmaker. Early life and career Alonzo grew up in Carpinteria, California and studied at Brooks Institute. His big break came in 2008 when he filmed and edited a Lil Wayne concert that amassed more than 10 million YouTube views. Noah Jacob Bryant (born May 11, 1984, in Santa Barbara, California) is an American shot putter. He attended high school at Carpinteria High School in Carpinteria, CA. He won the 2002 CIF California State Meet, defeating Adam Tafralis, son of Olympian Gregg Tafralis. NCAA He then went on to the University of Southern California where he won both the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships in 2007. Bryant also competed at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics in Osaka, Japan. Since the 1960s, the issue of Native American and First Nations names and images being used by sports teams as mascots has been the subject of increasing public controversy in the United States and Canada. The Tri-County Athletic Association (TCAA) is a high school athletic conference in California affiliated with the CIF Southern Section. Established in 2006, the association is an amalgamation of the Tri-Valley League and the Frontier League.
