Carolyn Jackson
Carolyn B. Jackson is an American politician and retired counselor serving as a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from the 1st district. She assumed office on November 7, 2018. Early life and education Jackson was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and Master of Arts in counseling from Lincoln University in St. Louis. Career Jackson worked for the Cole County Juvenile Attention Center during her master's degree program. She then worked as a sociologist and counselor for the Cook County Adult Probation Department for 30 years before retiring. The South Side is an area of Chicago, Illinois, U.S. It lies south of the city's Loop area in the downtown. Linda Lawson (politician)
Linda C. Lawson (born June 29, 1964) is an American politician and law enforcement officer who served as a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 1998 until her retirement in 2018. Career Lawson is a 24-year veteran of the Hammond Police Department. She became the first female captain to serve the department after working as a patrol officer and a member of the sex crimes and domestic violence divisions. Lawson was chosen by Indiana House Democrats as their minority leader in a caucus on July 26, 2012. She became the first woman to head a Caucus in the Indiana House of Representatives.
