Carolyn Allen (September 8, 1937 – August 27, 2016) was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives and the Arizona State Senate The Arizona State Senate is part of the Arizona Legislature, the state legislature of the US state of Arizona. She was first elected to the Arizona House in November 1992, where she represented District 28. She was subsequently re-elected three times to the House, always representing District 29. After serving four terms in the House, the Arizona Constitution prevented Allen from running for a fifth term. She ran for the Arizona Senate in 2002 in District 8, which was new due to redistricting in the state. Arizona's 8th legislative district is one of 30 in the state, consisting of a section of Maricopa County. As of 2023, there are 57 precincts in the district, all in Maricopa, with a total registered voter population of 117,848. The district has an overall population of 244,166. Following the 2020 United States redistricting cycle, the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission (AIRC) redrew legislative district boundaries in Arizona. Michele Reagan (born October 13, 1969) is an American Republican politician who served as the 20th Arizona Secretary of State, from 2015 to 2019. She is currently a Justice of the Peace for the Maricopa County McDowell Mountain Precinct. Hannibal, Missouri
Hannibal is a city along the Mississippi River in Marion and Ralls counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, the population was 17,312, making it the largest city in Marion County. The bulk of the city is in Marion County, with a tiny sliver in the south extending into Ralls County. Members serve two-year terms with term limits that limit Senators to four terms for a total of eight years. Members of the Republican Party are currently the majority in the Senate. There is currently 16 women serving in the Senate after Raquel Terán was appointed, making it the first time a majority of the body was composed of female members. As with the Arizona House of Representatives, members to the Senate are elected from the same legislative districts as House members, however one Senator represents the constituency, while for the House there are two Representatives per district.
