Carole Skinner
Carole Skinner (born 8 May 1944) is an Australian actress, particularly known for her performances in theatre and television. She is perhaps best known for her role as Nola McKenzie in the soap opera, ''Prisoner'', in '' Sons and Daughters'', as Doris Hudson, and in the miniseries, ''The Harp in the South'', and its sequel, ''Poor Man's Orange'', as Delie Stock. Career Skinner began her acting career in 1966, and rose to prominence as an established theatre performer. She is very well known for her roles in Ruth Park's mini-serials The Harp in the South and Poor Man's Orange. Her performance as Olive in ''Summer of the Seventeenth Doll'' for the Melbourne Theatre Company in 1977 was also met with high regard. ''Prisoner'' (known in the UK and the US as ''Prisoner: Cell Block H'') is an Australian television soap opera, which broadcast on Network Ten (originally The 0-10 Network) from February 27 (Melbourne) February 26 (Sydney) 1979 to December 1986 (Melbourne), though the series finale would not screen until September 1987 in Sydney, where it aired as a 3-hour film that was split into three 1-hour episodes at the much-later time-slot of 10.30pm, running eight seasons and 692 episodes. ''Neighbours'' is an Australian television soap opera, which has aired since 18 March 1985. It was created by television executive Reg Watson. The Seven Network commissioned the show following the success of Watson's earlier soap '' Sons and Daughters.'' Susannah Yolande Fletcher (9 January 1939 – 15 January 2011), known professionally as Susannah York, was an English actress. Her appearances in various films of the 1960s, including '' Tom Jones'' (1963) and '' They Shoot Horses, Don't They?'' (1969), formed the basis of her international reputation. Eliza Frazer
Eliza Anne Fraser (c.1798 – 1858) was a Scottish woman who was aboard a ship that wrecked at an island off the coast of Queensland, Australia, on 22 May 1836, and who claimed she was taken in by the Badtjala (Butchella) people. She later wrote of her experience and claimed to have been captured by Aboriginal people. Fraser Island is named after her; it is also known by the Aboriginal names of K'Gari and Gari. Life She was the wife of Captain James Fraser, master of the '' Stirling Castle''. There were 18 people aboard the ship and a cargo mainly of spirits, which may have been involved in the accident. The series followed continued adventures of the title character, previously featured in the successful sex comedy feature film ''Alvin Purple'' (1973) and its sequel ''Alvin Purple Rides Again'' (1974).
