CaroMont Health Park
CaroMont Health Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Gastonia, North Carolina which opened in 2021 as the home of the Gastonia Honey Hunters in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, an official Partner League of Major League Baseball. It is part of a downtown redevelopment plan known as the Franklin Urban Sports and Entertainment (FUSE) District. The new ballpark was designed to accommodate a variety of other events, including concerts, soccer, lacrosse, and football with an artificial turf surface and a capacity of 5,000. In May 2021, the Honey Hunters announced that the stadium would be renamed CaroMont Health Park following a ten-year naming rights deal with CaroMont Health, a regional healthcare provider that operates the CaroMont Regional Medical Center and other medical facilities. The Gastonia Honey Hunters are a professional baseball team based in Gastonia, North Carolina. CaroMont Regional Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital located in Gastonia, North Carolina, United States. The hospital was organized in 1946 as a memorial to soldiers who died in World War II, and the present Court Drive facility opened in 1973. History Gaston Memorial Hospital was established in 1945 on North Highland Street, Gastonia. In the late 1960s, the hospital acquired 74 acres located between Cox Road and New Hope Road, which was adjacent to 112 acres owned by Gaston County. Sims Legion Park
Sims Legion Park is a 3,000-seat baseball park in Gastonia, North Carolina that is the home field for Gaston College baseball. It has hosted the Gastonia Grizzlies of the Coastal Plain League, as well as American Legion Baseball, American Legion baseball. The Grizzlies moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina starting with the 2021 season and were renamed the Spartanburgers. The stadium underwent a total rebuild in the 1970s in order to attract a Minor League Baseball team. Since then the stadium has seen many tenants come and go.
