Carnoustie Panmure
Carnoustie Panmure Football Club are a Scottish Junior football club from the town of Carnoustie, Angus. They currently compete in the . History Formed in 1936, they are nicknamed ''the Gowfers'' due to the town's well-established links to the sport of golf ("gowf" in Scots). They play at Laing Park, to which they moved in 2004, having previously played at Westfield Park. The club received significant investment in the late 1990s, which has allowed them to emerge as one of the stronger Tayside clubs participating in the East Region. The pinnacle of their achievements was winning the Scottish Junior Cup in 2004. The club has an Academy with players aged 5–8yrs, a youth set up with teams from 9s to under-19s, two amateur teams using the Carnoustie YM name and four girls teams from Monifieth Ladies. In 2013 the club became a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation to provide a pathway for players from Youth to Adult football and to improve sports facilities in the town. ... Carnoustie
Carnoustie (; sco, Carnoustie, gd, Càrn Ùstaidh) is a town and former police burgh in the council area of Angus, Scotland. It is at the mouth of the Barry Burn on the North Sea coast. In the 2011 census, Carnoustie had a population of 11,394, making it the fourth-largest town in Angus. The town was founded in the late 18th century, and grew rapidly throughout the 19th century due to the growth of the local textile industry. It was popular as a tourist resort from the early Victorian era up to the latter half of the 20th century, due to its seaside location, and is best known for the Carnoustie Golf Links course that often hosts the Open Championship. Carnoustie can be considered a dormitory town for its nearest city, Dundee, which is to the west. It is served principally by Carnoustie railway station, and also by Golf Street railway station. Robert Geddes (born 12 August 1960) is a Scotland former footballer who played as a goalkeeper, and is currently the goalkeeping coach for Falkirk. A product of the Highland Football League, Geddes was goalkeeping coach at first club Dundee from 2006 until 2021, a position he previously held at city rivals Dundee United. Playing career Inverness-born Geddes began his professional career with Ross County, then a Highland League club. In 1977 Geddes transferred from Ross County to Dundee, and was part of the side who finished runners-up in the First Division and League Cup that season. In 1990 after ten years at Dens Park, Geddes moved west to Kilmarnock where in 1993 he was part of the promotion-winning side. A short spell with Raith Rovers followed in the mid-90s before spending two years in Northern Ireland with Linfield where he won the Irish League Cup in successive seasons. 2021–22 Midlands Football League
The 2021–22 Midlands Football League is the inaugural season of the Midlands Football League, the sixth tier of the Scottish football league system, Scottish football pyramid system. The season began with nine games on 17 July 2021. Carnoustie Panmure F.C., Carnoustie Panmure became the inaugural league champions, winning their last seventeen games of the season to overhaul East Craigie F.C., East Craigie and ultimately win the league by five points.
