Carnosaur (film)
''Carnosaur'' is a 1993 American science fiction horror film written and directed by Adam Simon. The film stars Diane Ladd, Raphael Sbarge, Jennifer Runyon, and Harrison Page. Loosely based on the 1984 John Brosnan novel of the same name, it follows characters Doc Smith and Ann Thrush in their efforts to thwart Dr. Jane Tiptree's plan to exterminate the human race with a lethal virus and replace them with her own genetically created dinosaurs. Roger Corman acquired the rights to Brosnan's novel in 1991 and the project entered production two years later to capitalize on an extensive marketing campaign used to promote ''Jurassic Park''. Simon was hired to direct ''Carnosaur'' and is credited with writing the screenplay, reworking most of the plot elements of the novel. Adam Simon
Adam Simon (born February 6, 1962) is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. His directing credits include ''Brain Dead'' (1990), '' Body Chemistry II: The Voice of a Stranger'' (1992), and ''Carnosaur'' (1993). Simon, along with producer Brannon Braga, co-created the television series '' Salem''. As a screenwriter, Simon is known for ''Bones'' (2001), ''The Haunting in Connecticut'' (2009), and ''Books of Blood'' (2020). Eugene Kal Siskel (January 26, 1946 – February 20, 1999) was an American film critic and journalist for the ''Chicago Tribune''. Along with colleague Roger Ebert, he hosted a series of movie review programs on television from 1975 until his death in 1999. Siskel started writing for the ''Chicago Tribune'' in 1969, becoming its film critic soon after. In 1975, he was paired with Roger Ebert to co-host a monthly show called ''Opening Soon at a Theater Near You'' airing locally on PBS member station WTTW. Edwin Wallace Williams (born November 26, 1926) is an American actor, who played Ted Olsen on the Television program#Seasons/series, TV series ''Police Squad!'' and in ''The Naked Gun'' films. Williams was a broadcasting and speech teacher at Los Angeles City College in Southern California. He retired and then took acting classes. With the help of some contacts, he started acting as a second career. ''Tyrannosaurus'' is a genus of large theropod dinosaur. The species ''Tyrannosaurus rex'' (''rex'' meaning "king" in Latin), often called ''T. rex'' or colloquially ''T-Rex'', is one of the best represented theropods. ''Tyrannosaurus'' lived throughout what is now western North America, on what was then an island continent known as Laramidia. ''Tyrannosaurus'' had a much wider range than other tyrannosaurids. ''Deinonychus'' ( ; ) is a genus of dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur with one described species, ''Deinonychus antirrhopus''. This species, which could grow up to long, lived during the early Cretaceous Period, about 115–108 million years ago (from the mid-Aptian to early Albian stages). ''The Eden Formula'', also known as ''Tyrannosaurus Wrecks'', is a 2006 American science fiction horror film written and directed by John Carl Buechler. ''Carnosaur 2'' is a 1995 action horror film, and the sequel to the 1993 film '' Carnosaur''. It is the second of the ''Carnosaur'' film series. It stars John Savage, Cliff DeYoung, Rick Dean, Ryan Thomas Johnson, Arabella Holzbog and Don Stroud. The film is about a team of technicians who go to the Yucca Mountain nuclear mining facility to investigate problems concerning power and communications.
