Edward John Carnell
Edward John Carnell (28 June 1919 – 25 April 1967) was a prominent Christian theologian and apologist, was an ordained Baptist pastor, and served as President of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He was the author of nine major books, several of which attempted to develop a fresh outlook in Christian apologetics. He also wrote essays that were published in several other books, and was a contributor of articles to periodicals such as ''The Christian Century'' and '' Christianity Today''. Family Carnell was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on June 28, 1919, and was the third of four children born to Herbert Carnell and Fannie Carstens. He was married to Shirley Rowe, a school teacher from Wisconsin. Anne Katherine Carnell (née Knowlman; born 30 May 1955) is an Australian businesswoman and former Liberal Party politician, who served as the third Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) from 1995 to 2000. Early life and pharmacy career Carnell was born on 30 May 1955, in Brisbane, Queensland. Her parents owned a small accounting business. As a teenager she struggled with anorexia and was sent away to recover at Sydney Hospital. She battled the illness for four years. Carnell Lake
Carnell Augustino Lake (born July 15, 1967) is an American former professional football player and coach who is the defensive backs coach for the Tampa Bay Bandits of the United States Football League (USFL). He was a safety and cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He is a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. He was the cornerbacks coach for the UCLA Bruins under head coach Rick Neuheisel in 2009 before leaving after one season for family reasons. Arthur Lewis Carnell (24 May 1909 – 31 August 1942) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the New South Wales Rugby League for North Sydney. He died during the Second World War. Early life and rugby career Carnell was born on 24 May 1909 in Dungog to parents Arthur Lewis and Regina Hessing Carnell. Bradley Neil Carnell (born 21 January 1977) is a South African former footballer who played as a defender. He is the current head coach of St. Louis City SC of Major League Soccer. Early career Born in Johannesburg, Carnell attended Parktown Boys' High School in Johannesburg. Andrew Carnell
Andrew Greene Carnell, (April 10, 1877 – January 26, 1951) was a Canadian politician who served as mayor of St. John's, Newfoundland. Born in St. John's, Carnell received his early education at Bishop Feild College and the Methodist College before going into his father's business as an undertaker. He married Mabel Payne in 1904. They had two sons and four daughters. His son Geoffrey later served in the Newfoundland assembly. After several failed attempts in colonial politics, he decided to enter municipal politics. In the municipal elections of 1929 for St. John's, he was elected deputy mayor. After the sitting mayor, Charles Howlett, died in 1932, Carnell became acting mayor until he was elected to the post officially by acclamation the following year. Carnell House is a mansion house and estate near the village of Hurlford about south-east of Kilmarnock in South Ayrshire, Scotland, from Glasgow. Carnell was previously known as Cairn Hill and dates back to 1276. The house is set within a 2000-acre Estate which is divided into gardens, woodlands and farms. The present form of the house dates back to 1843, although the earlier towers adjoin the newer additions. The house is home to the Findlay Family whose ancestry includes William Wallace. Ferrier-Hamilton, Hamilton-Findlay. It was built by the Wallace Family and in 1750 was referred to as ‘Cairnhill’ on General Roy's map of 1750. Edward John Carnell (8 April 1912 – 23 March 1972) was a British science fiction editor known for editing ''New Worlds'' in 1946 then from 1949 to 1963. He also edited ''Science Fantasy'' from the 1950s. After the magazines were sold to another publisher he left to launch the '' New Writings in Science Fiction'' anthology series, editing 21 issues until his death, after which the series was continued by Kenneth Bulmer for a further 9 issues. Geoffrey Carnell
Geoffrey Conrad Carnell (January 19, 1915 – February 15, 1987) was a businessperson and politician in Newfoundland. He represented St. John's North from 1962 to 1966 in the Newfoundland House of Assembly. The son of mayor Andrew Carnell and Mabel E. Payne, he was born in St. John's and was educated at Bishop Feild College. He entered the family undertaking and carriage manufacturing business as a wheelwright in 1932; he succeeded his father as company president in 1937. Carnell was also president of Georgetown Realty Company Ltd. and a director of Ready Credit Acceptance Corporation and the Insurance Corporation of Newfoundland.
