Carne De Horca
''Condemned to Hang'' or ''Flesh for the Gallows'' (Spanish: ''Carne de horca'', Italian: ''Il terrore dell'Andalusia'') is a 1953 Italian-Spanish historical adventure film directed by Ladislao Vajda and starring Rossano Brazzi, Fosco Giachetti and Emma Penella.Mira p.237 The film portrays the bandits of nineteenth century Andalucía. The film's art direction was by Alberto Boccianti. Synopsis The life of the rebel and vicious Juan Pablo de Osuna changes when his father, a rich cattleman, is murdered by Lucero, a cruel bandit of The Sierra Morena. Looking for revenge Juan Pablo is wrongfully accused and everybody believes that he is a murderer, even Lucero's gang. He becomes member of the gang and Lucero confides him. Ladislao Vajda
Ladislao Vajda (born Weisz László; 18 August 1906, Budapest – 25 March 1965, Barcelona) was a Hungarian-Spanish film director who made films in Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Italy and West Germany. Biography He was born in Budapest, his father being an actor and screenwriter. Vajda started his career as film editor (even though he also worked as artistic designer and writer) for different directors, such as Billy Wilder and Henry Koster. Eventually, he undertook his first directorial effort in his native country, Hungary. Before World War II he became established in Italy, where he directed two movies: ''La zia smemorata'' (1940) and ' (1941). Finally, he moved to Spain, where he continued directing films. Sierra Morena
The Sierra Morena is one of the main systems of mountain ranges in Spain. It stretches for 450 kilometres from east to west across the south of the Iberian Peninsula, forming the southern border of the ''Meseta Central'' plateau and providing the watershed between the valleys of the Guadiana to the north and the west, and the Guadalquivir to the south.
