Carmina Or Blow Up
Carmina or Blow Up (Spanish: Carmina o revienta) is a Spanish comedy-drama film, directed and written by Paco León. The film stars his mother Carmina Barrios (Carmina), his sister, María León (actress), María León (María), Paco Casaus (Antonio León) and Ana Mª García (Ani). It is the first Spanish film released in cinemas, online and as a digital copy at the same time. Plot Carmina is a 58-year-old woman who runs an inn in Seville. After being robbed several times, she comes up with an original way to get the money back and provide for her family. While she waits the outcome of her plan in her kitchen, she reflects on her life, work and miracles. She has two children, including María, a 22-year-old without a clear future ahead of her and a 4-year-old granddaughter, Marina. Paco León
Francisco León Barrios (born 4 October 1974), known as Paco León () is a Spanish actor, producer, director, screenwriter and activist. Born in Seville, León began his career in television comedy roles in Andalusian regional productions. Following appearances in sketch show ', he became popular in Spain for his performance from 2005 to 2014 in sitcom ''Aída'', portraying Luisma, a good-natured rehabilitated drug addict. In addition to his acting career, he has also pursued an activity as a filmmaker and show creator, starting with his debut feature ''Carmina or Blow Up'' (2012), for which he was nominated to the Goya Award for Best New Director. María León (actress)
María León Barrios (Andalusian Spanish, Andalusian ; born 30 July 1984) is a Spanish actress from Seville, Andalusia. She is best known for her performances as Leti in ''SMS (TV series), SMS'' and Carmen in ''Allí abajo''. Career León became best known for her role in the 2011 film ''The Sleeping Voice'', for which she won a Goya Awards, Goya for Best New Actress. She has played the main role of Carmen in ''Allí abajo'' since 2015, which includes appearances from her mother, Carmina Barrios. The Málaga Film Festival, formerly Málaga Spanish Film Festival (FMCE), is an annual film festival held in Málaga, Spain. The festival was established to promote Spanish cinema and help disseminate information about Spanish films. Since 2017, it features an additional focus on Ibero-American films. The Goya Awards ( es, Premios Goya) are Spain's main national annual film awards, commonly referred to as the Academy Awards of Spain.
