Carmelo Kyam Anthony (born May 29, 1984) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has been named an NBA All-Star ten times and an All-NBA Team member six times. He played college basketball for the Syracuse Orange, winning a national championship as a freshman in 2003 while being named the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. In 2021, he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and is regarded as one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. After one season at Syracuse, Anthony entered the 2003 NBA draft and was selected with the third overall pick by the Denver Nuggets. Carmelo José González Jiménez (born 9 July 1983), known simply as Carmelo, is a Spanish footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. He spent most of his professional career with Las Palmas, Sporting de Gijón (competing in La Liga with both clubs) and in the Thai Premier League. Club career Born in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Carmelo graduated from hometown UD Las Palmas' youth ranks. Carmelo Di Bella (January 30, 1921 – September 9, 1992) was an Italian football player and manager. Di Bella spent the vast majority of his career in Sicily where he was a prominent figure in the footballing scene, especially in relation to the island's most successful clubs; Catania and Palermo. Carmelo Marrero (born January 26, 1981) is an American former professional mixed martial artist who competed in the Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight divisions. He has competed for the UFC, WEC, Bellator Fighting Championships, the IFL, and the XFC. Background Marrero was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. He was diagnosed with cancer at a young age and eventually was able to overcome the illness. Carmelo Cedrún Ochandátegui (born 6 December 1930) is a Spanish former football goalkeeper and manager. Club career Born in Amorebieta-Etxano, Cedrún started playing professionally with local giants Athletic Bilbao, making his first-team debut on 15 April 1951 in a 3–0 home win against Sevilla FC and quickly becoming first-choice. In the 1955–56 season, as the Basques won La Liga, he only conceded 31 goals while playing all 30 matches, and appeared in more than 400 official games during his 14-year spell.
