In Greek mythology, Carme (; Ancient Greek: Κάρμη ''Karmē'') was the mother, by Zeus, of the goddess Britomartis. The Carme group is a group of retrograde and direct motion, retrograde irregular satellites of Jupiter that follow similar orbits to Carme (moon), Carme and are thought to have a common origin. Their semi-major axis, semi-major axes (distances from Jupiter) range between 22.9 and 24.1 gigametre, Gm, their orbital inclinations between 164.9° and 165.5°, and their eccentricity (orbit), orbital eccentricities between 0.23 and 0.27 (with one exception). Carme is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Anoia in Catalonia, Spain. The town is in the middle of a valley, which is surrounded by the Orpinell range (751 m.) and the other by the Collbàs range (544 m.). The village is at the bottom of the valley and is surrounded by forests. The capital of the region of Anoia, Igualada, is just ten kilometers from the village, while other municipalities like La Pobla de Claramunt or Capellades Capellades () is a town in Catalonia, Spain, located in the south of the comarca of Anoia, some sixty metres above the Anoia river where it cuts through the Catalan Coastal Range.
