Owned and managed by the Emirati firm Jumeirah, it is located on Cadogan Place next to Sloane Street and close to Harrods, Harvey Nichols and central Knightsbridge. The Carlton Cannes is a historic 332-room luxury hotel opened in 1911, located at 58 La Croisette in Cannes on the French Riviera. It is famous for hosting movie stars from around the world during the annual Film Festival. The Carlton Hotel in Christchurch was an historic pub on the corner of Papanui Road and Bealey Avenue. Built in 1906 for the New Zealand International Exhibition, it was registered by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust as a Category II heritage building. The building was damaged in the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake and demolished on 9 April 2011. History Papanui Road, linking to Main North Road, was the traditional route for travellers from the north. Cobb & Co travelled north via Victoria Street and Papanui Road, and one of the first tram routes in Christchurch was built along this corridor. Carlton Hotel (Johannesburg)
The Carlton Hotel is a historic hotel in the Central Business District of Johannesburg, South Africa. It opened in 1972 as part of the enormous Carlton Centre complex, and has been closed since 1998. Its closure has been attributed to the decay of the Central Business District, resulting in a severe crime wave and the flight of the city's corporate offices north to areas like Sandton and Rosebank. This created a plethora of vacant rooms that were unable to be filled. The main hotel tower was closed in December 1997. History First Carlton Hotel The first Carlton Hotel was located two blocks away, at the corner of Eloff Street & Commissioner Street.
