Happy Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Eddy County, New Mexico, United States. Its population was 519 as of the 2010 census. La Huerta, formerly known as Carlsbad North, is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Eddy County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 1,246 at the 2010 census. The community, whose name means "fruit garden" in Spanish, was named after the orchards and garden plots that supplied food to Carlsbad. Geography La Huerta is located in central Eddy County and is bordered to the south by the city of Carlsbad, the county seat. The Pecos River flows past 3/4 mile to the south. Malaga, New Mexico
Malaga is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Eddy County, New Mexico, United States. Its population was 147 as of the 2010 census. Malaga has a post office with ZIP code 88263. Carlsbad High School (CHS) is located in Carlsbad, New Mexico, United States, and has a student population of over 1600 students. It is a part of the Carlsbad Municipal School District.
