Carlotta is a rural locality of the Shire of Nannup in the South West region of Western Australia. The Vasse Highway runs through the centre of the locality, with the Easter National Park stretching along the east side of the highway. The south-western part of the locality is taken up by the Milyeannup National Park while the remainder is predominantly covered by state forest. Its north-western boundary is made up by the Brockman Highway and Nannup Airport is located in the north-west as well, inside the Kearney State Forest. It is located on the traditional land of the Noongar nation. The historic Jangardup Stock Route runs through the locality on the route that is now the Vasse Highway. Electoral District Of Warren-Blackwood
Warren-Blackwood is an Electoral districts of Western Australia, electoral district of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Western Australia from 1950 to 2008, and from 2013 onwards. Known as Warren until 1996, the district was located in the south-west of the state and first contested at the 1950 Western Australian state election, 1950 state election. Stock Route
A stock route, also known as travelling stock route (TSR), is an authorised thoroughfare for the walking of domestic livestock such as sheep or cattle from one location to another in Australia. The stock routes across the country are colloquially known as The Long Paddock or Long Paddock. A travelling stock route may often be distinguished from an ordinary country road by the fact that the grassy verges on either side of the road are very much wider, and the property fences being set back much further from the roadside than is usual, or open stretches of unfenced land. The reason for this is so that the livestock may feed on the vegetation that grows on the verges as they travel, especially in times of drought. The Bibulman (Pibelmen) are an Aboriginal Australian people of the southwestern region of Western Australia, a subgroup of the Noongar. Name Their autonym may be related to the word for stingray, ''pibilum''. Country Pibelmen lands comprised around of territory in the southwest. Vasse Highway
Vasse Highway is a Western Australian highway connecting Busselton and the South Western Highway south of Manjimup. It is long and travels through jarrah and karri hardwood forests for most of its length, with some small agricultural areas and wineries nearby, and forms the main street of the towns of Nannup (as Warren Road) and Pemberton (as Brockman Street). From Busselton, it starts as State Route 104 from the Bussell Highway 3 km east of Busselton, near the Sir Stuart Bovell sporting complex, and travels the 56 km to Nannup, where it intersects with the Brockman Highway and becomes State Route 10. It then passes Donnelly River and Karri Valley Resort, and 22 km west of Pemberton turnoffs provide entrances to the Beedelup National Park.
