Carlos Urbizo
Carlos Urbizo Solís (born 22 November 1943) is a Honduran politician and businessman. He was a candidate to the Vice-Presidency for the National Party. Life Urbizo was born on 22 November 1943 in La Ceiba. He attended St Johns College de Belice and subsequently moved to the United States to study finance at Franklin & Marshall College. Urbizo then started working for PriceWaterHouse in Honduras and the United States. In 1995, with fellow economist Carlos Gabriel Kattán being asked to become involved for the National Party of Honduras, Urbizo was asked to join the political movement of Nora Gúnera de Melgar. In 2007 he denied having bank accounts with debts and having given political favours to banks, he declared this after having appeared on a list of people allegedly having done so. National Party Of Honduras
The National Party of Honduras (PNH; es, Partido Nacional de Honduras) is a conservative political party in Honduras founded on 27 February 1902, by Manuel Bonilla Chirinos. Historically it has been one of the two most influential parties in the country. The party's platform is based on Christian humanist doctrine, and its five main principles are common wealth, dignity of the human person, equality, solidarity and subsidiarity. Since the foundation of the National Party, Honduras has had 13 PNH presidents. Manuel Bonilla was the first (1903–1907), and the most recent is the president, Juan Orlando Hernández who served from 2014 to 2022. La Ceiba
La Ceiba () is a municipality, the capital of the Honduran department of Atlántida (department), Atlántida and a port city on the northern coast of Honduras in Central America. It is located on the southern edge of the Caribbean, forming part of the south eastern boundary of the Gulf of Honduras. Roberto Micheletti Baín (born 13 August 1943) is a Honduran politician who served as the interim ''de facto'' president of Honduras from 28 June 2009 to 27 January 2010 as a result of the 2009 Honduran coup d'état. The Honduran military ousted the President, and the National Congress read a letter of resignation, which was refuted two minutes later by Zelaya in conversation with CNN en Español; days later, the coup-plotters claimed that the Supreme Court had ordered to forcefully detain President Manuel Zelaya because "he was violating the Honduran constitution"; Zelaya was exiled rather than arrested.
