Carlos Siqueira
Carlos Siqueira (born 25 January 1955 in Bom Conselho) is a Brazilian lawyer and politician who serves, since 2014, as national president of the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB). Besides his high position in the party, he never ran for any political office. Siqueira had served as president of João Mangabeira Foundation, the PSB think tank, and was member of the Order of Attorneys of Brazil section of Pernambuco. PSB President Party leadership Siqueira was the party's secretary-general and served as campaign coordinator of Eduardo Campos in 2014, whom he was a right-hand man. As Campos headed the party since 2004, the presidency became vacant due to his death in a plane crash during the campaign. At the time, Roberto Amaral assumed as acting president while Marina Silva replaced Campos in the election. The Brazilian Socialist Party ( pt-BR, Partido Socialista Brasileiro, PSB) is a political party in Brazil. It was founded in 1947, before being abolished by the military regime in 1965 and re-organised in 1989 after the re-democratisation of Brazil. It elected six Governors in 2010, becoming the second largest party in number of state governments, behind only PSDB. Geraldo Alckmin 2018 Presidential Campaign
The 2018 presidential campaign of Geraldo Alckmin was announced on 9 December 2017 at a national convention of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB). Geraldo Alckmin was the 35th Governor of São Paulo from 2011 to his resignation in 2018. He had previously served as the 31st Governor, from 2001 to 2006. This is Alckmin's second bid for the presidency, his first being in 2006, when he lost to incumbent president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. After Manaus mayor Arthur Virgílio Neto dropped out as pre-candidate for president on 23 February 2018, Alckmin became the PSDB's presumptive nominee for president. Flávio Dino
Flávio Dino de Castro e Costa (born 30 April 1968) is a Brazilian attorney, politician and teacher. A former federal judge, Dino was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2006, serving a four-year term until 2011, representing the state of Maranhão. He was elected as the governor of Maranhão after running in the 2014 election. He became the governor of Maranhão on 1 January 2015. He was reelected in 2018.
