Carlos Joel Salcedo Hernández (born 29 September 1993), also known as El Titán, is a Mexican professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, centre-back for Liga MX club FC Juárez, Juárez. Salcedo began his youth career at C.D. Guadalajara, Guadalajara in 2006 and moved to Tigres UANL and then Real Salt Lake, where he started his professional career in 2013. He would return to Guadalajara in 2015, and the following year made his move abroad with loan spells at ACF Fiorentina, Fiorentina and Eintracht Frankfurt, making a permanent move with the latter in 2018. The Mexico national football team () represents Mexico in international football and is governed by the Mexican Football Federation (). It competes as a member of CONCACAF. Garth Lagerwey
Garth Lagerwey (born December 12, 1972) is a retired American soccer player who played five seasons in Major League Soccer as a goalkeeper. He became the general manager of Real Salt Lake in 2007 and stayed with the club before departing in 2015 for Seattle Sounders FC, where he served as general manager and president of soccer for seven years. Lagerwey joined Atlanta United FC as its president and CEO in November 2022. Youth Lagerwey grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and played club soccer with the Chicago Magic. He attended York High School, where he was a two time all-state soccer goalkeeper. Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Vancouver. They compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. Homegrown Player Rule (Major League Soccer)
The Homegrown Player Rule is a Major League Soccer program that allows MLS teams to sign local players from their own development academies directly to MLS first team rosters. Before the creation of the rule in 2008, every player entering Major League Soccer would have to be assigned through one of the existing MLS player allocation processes, such as the MLS SuperDraft. MLS roster rules allow a team to sign players to contracts similar to Generation adidas contracts, which do not count against the MLS salary budget and may earn a much higher salary than the league minimum. MLS has since removed this wording from the roster rules. That means homegrown players will not count against the salary budget only if they are registered using supplemental roster slots, but will still count against the salary budget if they are registered using senior roster slots. The 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup was the 10th and final edition of the FIFA Confederations Cup, a quadrennial international men's football tournament organised by FIFA. It was held in Russia, from 17 June to 2 July 2017, as a prelude to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Russia was announced as the host on 2 December 2010 after the country was awarded the hosting rights of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The association football tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held from 3 to 20 August in Brazil.
