Carlos Piñango
Carlos Piñango (1958-March 9, 2013) was a Venezuelan noted amateur and professional boxer and boxing trainer, who once fought Eusebio Pedroza for the World Boxing Association's world featherweight title and who later on, trained several world champion boxers, both male and female ones, and who, as a trainer, traveled around the world training his boxers and instructing them during their contests. Amateur career Piñango was inspired to become a boxer by Venezuelan Rafael Orono, a two-time World Boxing Council world Junior-Bantamweight champion. In one of his amateur contests, Piñango fought future two-division world champion and 1980 Moscow Olympic Games silver medalist Bernardo Piñango (no relation), who was making his debut as a fighter that day. Featherweight is a weight class in the combat sports of boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and Greco-Roman wrestling. Gilberto Rafael Serrano (born March 19, 1970) is a Venezuelan former professional boxer. Serrano is most notable for having won the WBA World lightweight title during his career, which spanned from 1993 to 2004. He won the Lightweight title from Stefano Zoff in 1999 after unsuccessfully challenging Yong Soo Choi for the WBA World super featherweight title in 1998. Cristian Ricardo Lucio Mijares (born 2 October 1981) is a Mexican former professional boxer. He is a two-time super flyweight champion, having held the unified WBC and WBA (Unified) titles from 2006 to 2008 and the IBF title from 2010 to 2011.
