Carlos Pita (footballer)
Carlos Pita González (born 8 December 1984) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Deportivo Pita was born in A Coruña, Galicia, and was a Deportivo de La Coruña youth graduate. After making his first-team debut in a 2–0 away win over CCD Cerceda in the second round of the Copa del Rey on 26 October 2004, he first appeared in La Liga on 29 May 2005, coming on as a late substitute for Aldo Duscher in the 1–1 away draw against CD Numancia. In 2006, Pita moved on loan to Segunda División B club CD Logroñés. He returned to the Estadio Riazor in July of the following year, being assigned back to the reserves (now also in the third division) and subsequently representing Valencia CF Mestalla and CD Guadalajara in the same league. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The number of substitutes has risen over time as well as the number of reserve players allowed to be nominated. Enrique "Quique" Setién Solar (; born 27 September 1958) is a Spanish football manager and former player who played as a central midfielder. He is the current manager of La Liga club Villarreal. As a player, he was nicknamed ''El Maestro'', and was best known for his two spells with Racing de Santander, starting and finishing his 19-year professional career at the club. Over 15 seasons in La Liga, he played 374 matches and scored 58 goals. He also won three international caps for Spain. Setién started a managerial career in 2001, going on to coach several teams including Racing. Estadio Municipal de Riazor (), also known as Estadio ABANCA-RIAZOR for sponsorship reasons, is an all-seater stadium in A Coruña, Spain. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
