Carlos Olivinha
Carlos Alexandre Rodrigues do Nascimento (born April 18, 1983), commonly known as Carlos Olivinha, or simply Olivinha, is a Brazilian professional basketball player that currently plays for Flamengo of Novo Basquete Brasil. At 6'8" (2.03 m), he can play at either the small forward or power forward positions, with power forward being his main position. He was born in Rio de Janeiro. Professional career In the Brazilian League's 2009–10 regular season, Olivinha averaged 20.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. National team career Olivinha has also been a member of the senior men's Brazilian national basketball team. He made his debut with the senior team at the 2009 Marchand Continental Championship Cup, averaging 3.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game for the team. 2009–2010 NBB season was the second season of Novo Basquete Brasil, the Brazilian basketball league. It started on November 1, 2009, and was disputed by fourteen teams playing each other in round and runoff in the regular season. Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) (English language, English: New Basketball Brazil) is the Brazilian premier professional men's basketball league. It is organized by the Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB) (National Basketball League), in a new format of Brazil's previous top-tier level basketball competition, the Campeonato Brasileiro de Basquete (Brazilian Basketball Championship). Basketball competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 16 to 25 at the Ryerson Athletic Centre. A total of eight men's and women's teams competed in each tournament respectively. The 2009 FIBA Americas Championship, later known as the FIBA AmeriCup, was the continental championship held by FIBA Americas, for North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. This FIBA AmeriCup championship served as a qualifying tournament for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Each of the top four finishers in the quarterfinal round robin qualified for the World Championship. Brazil won the gold medal, after beating host Puerto Rico, 61–60, in the title game.
