Carlos Mazón
Carlos Mazón Guixot (born 8 April 1974) is a Spanish People's Party (PP) politician. He was elected president of the Provincial Deputation of the Province of Alicante in 2019 and has led the People's Party of the Valencian Community (PPCV) since 2021. Biography Born in Alicante, Mazón's father of the same name was a haemotologist, who had a street in the city named after him. His maternal grandfather, Alfonso Guixot, was a businessman involved in entertainment; he owned cinemas and a bullring, and was president of Hércules CF football club. Mazón graduated in law from the University of Alicante, where he was a member of the student council as the leader of the union Programa 10. He was a member of the New Generations of the People's Party. When the PP entered government in the Valencian Community under Eduardo Zaplana after the 1999 elections, 25-year-old Mazón became director of the Valencian Youth Institute. People's Party (Spain)
The People's Party ( es, Partido Popular ; known mostly by its acronym, PP ) is a conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Spain. The People's Party was a 1989 re-foundation of People's Alliance (AP), a party led by former minister of the dictatorship Manuel Fraga and founded back in 1976 as alliance of post-Francoist proto-parties. The new party combined the conservative AP with several small Christian democratic and liberal parties (the party call this fusion of views "the Reformist Centre"). Francisco Enrique Camps Ortiz (born 28 August 1962) is a Spanish politician belonging to the Partido Popular (PP). He served as President of the Valencian Government, the Valencian regional administration, in the period 2003–2011, and is still a member of the Corts Valencianes, the Valencian regional parliament. He was first elected as a local councillor to Valencia city council, serving from 1991 to 1996, occupying the Presidency of the municipal transport body during that period. Spain participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Que me quiten lo bailao" written by Rafael Artesero. The song was performed by Lucía Pérez. The Spanish broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) organised the national final ''Destino Eurovisión'' in order to select the Spanish entry for the 2011 contest in Düsseldorf, Germany. The national final consisted of two heats, a semi-final and a final and involved 24 competing acts. Three acts and nine songs ultimately qualified to compete in the televised final where an in-studio jury first selected one song per act to advance to the second round. In the second round of voting, a public televote exclusively selected "Que me quiten lo bailao" performed by Lucía Pérez as the winner. As a member of the " Big Five", Spain automatically qualified to compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Catral () is a town in the Valencian Community, Spain. Located in the south of the province of Alicante, in the region of Vega Baja del Segura. It had 8,105 inhabitants in 2007 according to the National Statistics Institute of Spain. History Catral's origins are uncertain, as is the origin of the name.
