Carlos Discua
Carlos Israel Discua Castellanos (born 20 September 1984) is a Honduran football player who currently plays for C.D. Marathón in the Honduran Liga Nacional. Club career Nicknamed ''el Chino'', Discua played for Victoria and Olimpia as well as for Guatemalan outfits Deportivo Xinabajul and Comunicaciones before joining F.C. Motagua. He scored his first goal for Motagua on 2 November 2011 in the 3–0 home victory over C.D.S. Vida. In July, 2015, Discua joined Costa Rican first division team, Liga Deportiva Alajuelense. He debuted with La Liga on July 26, 2015, as a starter in the Super Clásico, against Deportivo Saprissa. International career Discua made his debut for Honduras in an April 2012 friendly match against Costa Rica and has, as of June 2015, earned a total of 13 caps, scoring one goal. Tegucigalpa
Tegucigalpa (, , ), formally Tegucigalpa, Municipality of the Central District ( es, Tegucigalpa, Municipio del Distrito Central or ''Tegucigalpa, M.D.C.''), and colloquially referred to as ''Tegus'' or ''Teguz'', is the capital and largest city of Honduras along with its sister city, Comayagüela. The 2019 Honduran Supercup was a match arranged by the Honduran Liga Nacional and the Honduran Cup which took place on 24 April 2019 between Platense F.C., winners of the 2018 Honduran Cup and C.D. Marathón the winners (with best record) of the 2017–18 Liga Nacional. This was the second official edition of the Honduran Supercup and the 6th overall. F.C. Motagua were the defending champions. Qualified teams Background The game was announced on 13 April 2018. C.D. Marathón qualified as winners (with best record) of the 2017–18 Honduran Liga Nacional. Meanwhile, Platense F.C. entered as winners of the 2018 Honduran Cup. Marathón was seeking for revenge as they had lost the previous edition. The 2017 Honduran Supercup was a match arranged by the Honduran Liga Nacional and the Honduran Cup which took place on 2 August 2017 between C.D. Marathón, winners of the 2017 Honduran Cup and F.C. Motagua, overall winners of the 2016–17 Liga Nacional season. This was the first official edition of the Honduran Supercup and the 5th overall. Qualified teams Background F.C. Motagua qualified as overall winners of the 2016–17 Honduran Liga Nacional after winning both the Apertura and Clausura tournaments. This was the first appearance for Motagua since 1999. Honduran Supercup
The Honduran Supercup is a Honduran football competition held yearly as a preseason match between the reigning champions of the Liga Nacional and the Honduran Cup. The competition started unofficially in 1997, but it was discontinued after just two seasons. In 2015, it was intended to be reactivated, however the match between F.C. Motagua and Club Deportivo Olimpia was scheduled but not played. One year later, a new Supercup edition was finally reestablished after 17 years of dormancy. The Honduran football authorities however, did not consider the competition official until 2017. 2010–11 Guatemalan Liga Nacional
The 2010–11 Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala season is the 12th season in which the Apertura and Clausura season is used. The league season is divided into two tournaments, the ''Apertura'', which is played from August to December, and the ''Clausura'' which is played from January to May. Format The format for both championships are identical. Each championship will have two stages: a first stage and a playoff stage. The first stage of each championship is a double round-robin format. The teams that finishes 1 and 2 in the standings will advance to the playoffs semifinals, while the teams that finish 3–6 will enter in the quarterfinals.
