Carlo Poggioli
Carlo Poggioli is an Italian costume designer. Biography Poggioli studied and graduated in stage and costume design at the Istituto D'Arte and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Naples. After completing his studies, Poggioli worked in Rome as assistant for some of the most important Italian costume designers, including Gabriella Pescucci, Piero Tosi, Maurizio Millenotti. He worked on such major productions as Jean-Jacques Annaud's ''The Name of the Rose'', Terry Gilliam's ''The Adventures of Baron Munchausen'', Federico Fellini's ''The Voice of the Moon'', Martin Scorsese's ''The Age of Innocence'', Franco Zeffirelli's '' Sparrow'', and more. The Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli (Naples Academy of Fine Arts) is a university-level art school in Naples. In the past it has been known as the Reale Istituto di Belle Arti and the Reale Accademia di Belle Arti. Ann Bishop Roth (born October 30, 1931) is an American costume designer. She has designed the costumes of various prominent films, and has been nominated five times for the Academy Award for Best Costume Design, winning twice for; ''The English Patient'' (1996), and ''Ma Rainey's Black Bottom'' (2020). Gabriella Pescucci (; born 17 January 1943) is an Italian costume designer. She has worked with directors Pier Paolo Pasolini, Federico Fellini, Sergio Leone, Terry Gilliam, Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton and Neil Jordan. In 1994, she won the Oscar for Best Costume Design for the 1993 film ''The Age of Innocence''. Biography Gabriella Pescucci was born in Tuscany in the province of Livorno. She studied Art at Accademia, Florence. In 1966 moved to Rome with the express intention of becoming a costume designer for the cinema.
