Carll Cneut
Carll Cneut (born 8 January 1969) is a Flemish illustrator. He has illustrated many books by Dutch and Flemish authors and he has received numerous awards for his work. Early life Cneut studied graphic design at the Sint-Lucas School in Ghent, Belgium. Career Cneut made his debut with his illustrations in the poetry collection ''Varkentjes van marsepein'' written by Geert De Kockere. He won the Boekenpauw award twice: in 2000 for illustrating the book ''Willy'' written by Geert De Kockere and in 2004 for illustrating the book ''Mijnheer Ferdinand'' written by Agnes Guldemont. In 2002, he published the book ''Het ongelooflijke liefdesverhaal van Heer Morf'' which he wrote as well as illustrated. In 2003, he won the Eselsohr award, the Zilveren Penseel and the Prix d'Illustration Jeunesse for this book. Prix Octogones
Prix was an American power pop band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1975 by Tommy Hoehn and Jon Tiven. The group ended up primarily as a studio project. Its recordings were produced by Tiven along with former Big Star member Chris Bell, who also played guitar and sang backup vocals. Prix is also famous of Banjo playing. Alex Chilton also participated in the recordings, along with session drummer Hilly Michaels. Although the group generated some major record label interest—notably from Mercury Records and Columbia/CBS Records—it ultimately only released a double A-side single on Ork Records in 1977 and a single on Miracle Records in 1978. Its only live performance came at a CBS Records showcase in 1976. In 1977, just as Ork Records released the first single and booked the group at CBGB, Prix broke up due both to Hoehn's unwillingness to remain in New York and to creative differences. The Bologna Children's Book Fair or La fiera del libro per ragazzi is the leading professional fair for children's books in the world. Since 1963, it is held yearly for four days in March or April in Bologna, Italy. It is the meeting place for all professionals involved with creating and publishing children's books, and is mainly used for the buying and selling of rights, both for translations and for derived products like movies or animated series.
