Carl Otto Løvenskiold (born 18 October 1953) is a Norwegian landowner and businessperson. By birth, he is a member of Løvenskiold family, Løvenskiold noble family. Personal life He is a son of Harald Løvenskiold, Jr., Harald Løvenskiold and Ingegjerd Løvenskiold, grandson of Carl Otto Løvenskiold (1898–1969), Carl Otto Løvenskiold, great-grandson of Harald Løvenskiold, great-great-grandson of Prime Minister Carl Otto Løvenskiold, great-great-great-grandson of Otto Joachim Løvenskiold and great-great-great-great-grandson of Severin Løvenskiold. Nordmarka
Nordmarka is the mostly forested region which makes up the northern part of Oslo, Norway. Nordmarka is the largest and most central part of Oslomarka. The area called Nordmarka also extends into the municipalities of Hole, Ringerike, Lunner, Jevnaker and Nittedal. It is the largest part of the Marka borough. The forests are popular sites for hiking, biking and skiing. Winter sport is mostly possible from December until March, in cold winters also until April or the beginning of May in some areas. Most of the forests are protected, and it is not possible to obtain building permits for cabins in the area. There are, however, many cabins already in Nordmarka with cafes and overnighting accommodation. There are several lakes in Nordmarka, which are used as a supply for drinking water, largest of these is the Maridalsvannet. Bærumsmarka is a forested recreational area located outside Oslo, Norway. The area constitutes part of Oslomarka and is bordered by Krokskogen and Nordmarka. Bærums Verk
Bærums Verk is a village in Bærum in Akershus, Norway, with a population of about 8000. It is located on both sides of the river Lomma. History Iron ore was found in the areas now known as Kirkerud and Eineåsen in Bærum in 1603 and 1604, and in 1610 Christian IV granted Paul Smelter the right to build, at his own expense, a foundry in the area. The first foundry was built near the farm of Wøyen, further downriver from today's Bærums Verk, and then another one at Gommerud, closer. In 1615 Smelter bought several farms at the present site and consolidated the foundry in one center. This was unusual practice at the time, but turned out to be successful. All other foundries in Oslo, Aker, and Bærum were shut down as a consequence, and Smelter achieved a virtual monopoly in the Oslo area.
