Carl Hall (rugby League)
Carl Hall (born 10 August 1969) is a New Zealand former professional rugby league and rugby union footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He played representative level rugby league (RL) for Junior Kiwis (New Zealand Schoolboys), and at club level for Doncaster (three spells), Hull Kingston Rovers, Bradford Northern, Leeds, Featherstone Rovers and York Wasps, and club level rugby union (RU) for Moseley and Stade Français, as a centre. He is currently Chief executive officer (CEO) of Doncaster (RL), having sold the club in 2013 to the Doncaster Rovers (association football) ownership structure as part of the "Club Doncaster" vision. Playing career A New Zealand youth international, Hall first came to light on the Junior Kiwis tour of the United Kingdom in 1987, as a centre or winger, eventually making over 250-appearances for several clubs. Mount Albert, New Zealand
Mount Albert is an inner suburb of Auckland, New Zealand, which is centred on Ōwairaka / Mount Albert, a local volcanic peak which dominates the landscape. In the past Mt Albert also referred to the 2,500 acre borough that was created in 1911 on the outskirts of Auckland City. Mt Albert was also one of the original five wards within the Mt Albert Borough. The suburb is located seven kilometres to the southwest of the Auckland CBD, Central Business District (CBD). Championship (rugby League)
The Championship, known as the Betfred Championship for sponsorship reasons, is a professional rugby league competition. It is the second-tier competition organised by the Rugby Football League, the governing body for the sport in England, and consists of 14 teams, with promotion to the Super League and relegation to the third-tier competition, League One. The league announced a two-year sponsorship deal with the bookmaking company Betfred ahead of the 2018 season. The current champions are Leigh Centurions, winners of the 2022 season after beating Batley Bulldogs in the Million Pound Game to win promotion to Super League 2023.
