Caringbah Railway Station
Caringbah railway station is located on the Cronulla line, serving the Sydney suburb of Caringbah. It is served by Sydney Trains T4 line services. History Caringbah station opened on 16 December 1939 when the Cronulla line opened from Sutherland to Cronulla. Caringbah was originally one of two stations on the single track, the other being Gymea. On 15 July 1985, the line from Gymea to Caringbah was duplicated with a new track laid north of the existing single line. In July 2001, an upgrade to the station was complete. In April 2010, the rest of the line was duplicated. Caringbah is a suburb in Southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Caringbah is south of the Sydney central business district in the Local government in Australia, local government area of Sutherland Shire. Transdev NSW is a bus operator in the northern, southern and western suburbs of Sydney, Australia, operating on behalf of Transport for NSW. It is a subsidiary of Transdev Australasia. It is a different subsidiary to Transdev John Holland, which is 75% owned by Transdev and operates in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. With origins tracing back to February 1935, Transdev NSW was renamed from Veolia Transport NSW in July 2013 after the global rebranding of its parent company Veolia Transdev to simply Transdev. Town Hall Railway Station, Sydney
Town Hall railway station is a heritage-listed underground commuter rail station located in the centre of the Sydney central business district in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened on 28 February 1932. It is named after the Sydney Town Hall, located directly above the station. History The station is built on the site of Sydney's earliest colonial cemetery, the Old Sydney Burial Ground. In 2008, part of this cemetery was being excavated from under the Town Hall. The station opened on 28 February 1932 and was built with six platforms, which were split over two levels with three platforms on each level. When the station opened, only four of the platforms were in use: platforms 1, 2 and 3 on the upper level and platform 6, served by escalators, on the lower level. The Dolans Bay is a cove on the Burraneer Bay adjacent to the lower estuarine Hacking River of Port Hacking in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Location and features With a catchment that drains a small number of the most southern suburbs of the Sutherland Shire, Dolans Bay is located as a small cover off Burraneer Bay, near where the Hacking River and Port Hacking estuary meet Gunnamatta Bay and empty into Bate Bay. The bay's catchment area is bound by Port Hacking to the south, Buraneer Bay sub-catchment to the east and north, and Little Turnell Bay sub-catchment to the southwest, and Gannons Bay and Great Turnell Bay sub-catchments to the west. Lilli Pilli is a small suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Lilli Pilli is located 26 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Sutherland Shire. There is also another Lilli Pilli in New South Wales (postcode 2536), located 12 kilometres south of Batemans Bay. History Lilli Pilli was named for the lilly pilly, the native myrtle that grew on the point. Thomas Holt (1811–88) owned most of the land that stretched from Sutherland to Cronulla, including land on the point. In 1840, parish maps also showed that of land on the point were owned by Francis Mitchell. The public school opened in 1957, and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007.
