Carina Witthöft
Carina Witthöft (also spelled Witthoeft, born 16 February 1995) is an inactive German professional tennis player. She has won one singles title on the WTA Tour whereas on the ITF Women's Circuit, she has won eleven singles titles and one doubles title. On 8 January 2018, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 48. Career Witthöft made her WTA Tour debut at the 2012 Swedish Open. Having defeated Marina Shamayko, Akgul Amanmuradova and Jill Craybas to qualify, she lost in the first round of the main draw against Kateryna Bondarenko. She won her maiden WTA title at the 2017 Luxembourg Open, defeating Monica Puig in straight sets in the final. The WTA Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women organized by the Women's Tennis Association. The second-tier tour is the WTA 125K series, and third-tier is the ITF Women's Circuit. 2018 Australian Open – Women's Singles
Caroline Wozniacki defeated Simona Halep in the final, 7–6(7–2), 3–6, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2018 Australian Open. She became the first Dane to win a major singles title. With the win, Wozniacki also regained the world No. 1 singles ranking for the first time since 2012. Torben Beltz (born 27 November 1976) is a German tennis coach. Beltz is best known for having coached Angelique Kerber during her successful 2016 Australian Open and 2016 US Open campaigns. Coaching career Beltz first started working with Angelique Kerber when the German turned professional in 2003. However, it was not until 2011 that Kerber made her career breakthrough, reaching the semi-finals of the 2011 US Open when ranked 92nd in the world. Since then, Kerber has achieved a multitude of successes on the WTA Tour, winning her first two career titles in 2012, reaching a then-career high ranking of world number five and qualifying for the prestigious WTA Tour Championships in Istanbul. Monica Puig Marchán, (born September 27, 1993) is a Puerto Rican former professional tennis player. She is the first Puerto Rican in history to win a gold medal at the Olympics while representing Puerto Rico, having done so in 2016 at the women's singles event. She is also a Central American and Caribbean champion and Pan American silver medalist. Having turned professional in 2010, Puig won two WTA singles titles and six ITF singles titles. Kateryna Volodymyrivna Volodko (née Bondarenko; uk, Катерина Володимирівна Бондаренко; born 8 August 1986) is a tennis player from Ukraine. She was the doubles champion in 2008 at the Australian Open, partnering her sister Alona Bondarenko. Kateryna is the younger sister of professional tennis players Valeria and Alona. Jill N. Craybas (born July 4, 1974) is an American former professional tennis player. From the 2000 US Open to the 2011 US Open, Craybas competed in 45 consecutive Grand Slam main draws; her best result coming in the 2005 Wimbledon Championships where she reached the fourth round, which included wins over Marion Bartoli and Serena Williams. By the time she retired in 2013, she was one of the oldest players on the WTA Tour at 39 years of age, as well as the longest serving, having turned pro in 1996.
