TPG Tour
The TPG Tour (Tour de Profesionales de Golf) is the principal professional golf tour in Argentina. The tour was formed in 2007, following disputes within the PGA of Argentina, who had operated the main professional tour in the country in previous years. The tour operated exclusively in Argentina in its inaugural season, but this changed in 2008 with the inclusion of the Carlos Franco Invitational, held in Paraguay. There were seventeen events in 2007 and sixteen in 2008, including the flagship Argentine Open and Argentine Masters, as well as the major regional opens, the South Open, Center Open, North Open and Coast Open. Cariló
Cariló (from the Mapuche word meaning "Green Dune") is an upscale beach resort town in Argentina. It is situated in a man made forest on the Atlantic coast of the Province of Buenos Aires, approximately 360 km south of Buenos Aires city in the administrative division of Pinamar Partido. Until a few years ago, access to the town was strictly controlled by the ruling authority. Today Cariló is publicly accessible, but comparatively high prices ensure that it remains the preserve of the ''well-heeled''. Cariló offers a lot of activities to individuals of all ages. The beach town offers sand dunes that attract many tourists for four wheeling. Rafael Faustino Gómez (born 27 December 1967) is an Argentine professional golfer. Career Gómez was born in Buenos Aires. He turned professional in 1990. He played on the European Challenge Tour in 2003 and from 2005 to 2007 and the European Tour from 2005 to 2007. He played on the U.S.-based Nationwide Tour in 2004 and a few events on the PGA Tour. Daniel Vancsik (born 7 January 1977) is an Argentine professional golfer. Early life Vancsik was born in Posadas, Argentina. He started playing the game when he was 12 at the Tacuru Club in Posadas-Misiones-Argentina. Rodolfo González (born 1 February 1967) is an Argentine professional golfer. González was born in Buenos Aires. He worked as a caddie in Ranelagh Golf Club, Buenos Aires, before turning professional in 1989. González won the Argentine Tour Ranking in 1999. Miguel Fernández (golfer)
Miguel Fernández (born 10 April 1962) is an Argentinian professional golfer. Fernández was born in Resistencia, Chaco. He worked as a caddie in Chaco, before turning professional in 1980. Fernández won the Argentine Tour Order of Merit in 1987. He won the Argentine Open in 1987 and 1988, having previously finished second in 1986. In addition to several victories on the Tour de las Americas, he has also been second in the TLA Players Championship in 2003 and 2006. Fernández played on the European Tour in 1991, finishing 131st on the Order of Merit with a best finish of tied 7th in the Open de Baleares. Ariel Cañete (born 7 February 1975) is an Argentine professional golfer. Career Cañete was born in Santa Teresita, Buenos Aires. He turned professional in 1995. Having competed on the local Argentine Tour, and the Tour de las Américas earlier in his career, in 2002 Cañete began playing on the Challenge Tour, Europe's second tier development tour. He finished high enough in the end of season rankings in 2005 to gain a place on the main European Tour.
