Carey Baker
Carey Baker (born March 16, 1963) is an American politician currently serving as the Property Appraiser for Lake County, Florida. He is a former Florida Republican Party, Republican member of the Florida Legislature. Baker served as the State Representative for the 25th District of the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 to 2004 and served as the State Senator for the 20th District of the Florida Senate from 2004 to 2010. Baker is also the owner of the A.W. Peterson Gun Shop and a retired First Sergeant in the Florida Army National Guard. He was the first state or federal elected official to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom while also holding elected office. Early life, education, and personal life Baker was born and raised in Eustis, Florida, Eustis. He is the son of former State Representative Leighton Baker. Baker's family has owned the A.W. The Florida Legislature is the legislature of the U.S. State of Florida. It is organized as a bicameral body composed of an upper chamber, the Senate, and a lower chamber, the House of Representatives. Sunni Triangle
The Sunni Triangle is a densely populated region of Iraq to the north and west of Baghdad inhabited mostly by Sunni Muslim Arabs. The roughly triangular area's points are usually said to lie near Baghdad (the southeast point), Ramadi (the southwest point) and Tikrit (the north point). Each side is approximately 125 kilometers (80 miles) long. The area also contains the cities of Samarra and Fallujah. The area was a center of strong support for former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's government; from the 1970s on, many government workers, politicians, and military leaders came from the area. Saddam was born just outside Tikrit. After the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the area became a focus of armed Sunni opposition to Coalition Provisional Authority rule. 124th Infantry Regiment
The 124th Infantry Regiment is a parent regiment of the United States Army, represented in the Florida Army National Guard by the 1st Battalion headquartered in Miramar and 2nd Battalion at Orlando. The two Battalions are elements of the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
