James Carrey
James Eugene Carrey (; born January 17, 1962) is a Canadian-American actor, comedian and artist. Known for his energetic slapstick performances, Carrey first gained recognition in 1990, after landing a role in the American sketch comedy television series ''In Living Color'' (1990–1994). He broke out as a star in motion pictures with '' Ace Ventura: Pet Detective'', '' The Mask'' and ''Dumb and Dumber'' (all 1994). James Cary is a British television and radio writer. Career Cary is the creator and writer of BBC Radio 4's Sony Radio Academy Awards Silver Award-winning comedy series, ''Think the Unthinkable'' (four series) and lead writer on the sketch show, ''Concrete Cow''. Cary co-created and co-wrote the BBC Three series ''Bluestone 42'' with Richard Hurst. James Carey was a United States Navy sailor and a recipient of America's highest military decoration — the Medal of Honor. Biography Carey was born in Ireland in either 1844 or 1847, depending on the source. He later served in the U.S. Navy, entering the service from New York City in 1866. In 1868, while a member of the crew of , he saved three fellow crewmen from drowning and was awarded the Medal of Honor. He later served aboard the , and also saved another sailor from drowning. James Carey (Fenian)
James Carey (1845–1883) was a Fenian, most notable for his involvement in the Phoenix Park Murders. He has been called "the most militant-minded republican you could possibly meet" by historian Dr Shane Kenna. Early life and nationalism Carey was the son of Francis Carey, a bricklayer, who came from Celbridge to Dublin, where his son was born in James Street in 1845. James also became a bricklayer, and for 18 years continued in the employment of Michael Meade, builder, of Dublin; he then started business on his own account as a builder in that city, at Denzille Street. In that venture, he was successful; he became the leading spokesman of his trade, and obtained several large building contracts. During all this period Carey was engaged in an Irish nationalist conspiracy, but to outward appearance, he was one of the rising men of Dublin. Jim Carey (ice Hockey)
James M. Carey (born May 31, 1974), is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the Washington Capitals, Boston Bruins, and St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League (NHL). Carey was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, but grew up in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Playing career Carey made his college hockey debut with the Wisconsin Badgers in 1992. He was the highest drafted goalie in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, taken in the 2nd round, 32nd overall by the Washington Capitals. Before coming to Washington, Carey played in the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships in 1993 and played in the AHL with the Portland Pirates. In Portland, he took home numerous individual awards, including the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award as the top rookie in the AHL and the Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award for top netminder in the AHL.
