Carel Du Preez
Hermanus Carel du Preez (born in Hartswater, South Africa) is a South African rugby union player for the Enisei-STM in the Rugby Premier League. He can play as a number eight, a flanker or a lock. Career Youth and Amateur rugby Du Preez enrolled at the Stellenbosch Rugby Academy, where he earned a spot in the Western Province Amateur side. In 2013, he represented his club side Durbanville-Bellville at the inaugural SARU Community Cup competition, helping them to win the Bowl Final, effectively finishing third. He scored three tries in the competition, including a brace in his side's 95–20 victory over Bloemfontein Police. At the end of 2013, he represented in the 2013 Under-21 Provincial Championship. Hartswater
Hartswater is an agricultural town on the N18 (South Africa), N18 national route some 23 km south of Taung and 36 km north of Warrenton, Northern Cape, Warrenton. The centre of the Vaalharts Irrigation Scheme, it became a municipality in April 1960. It takes its name from the Harts River which passes to the west of the town. Background The town was laid out in 1948. There is a monument built in the shape of a miniature church dedicated to the women of Vaalharts for their contribution towards building and developing the Vaalharts irrigation scheme located in the town of Hartswater. The 2014 Vodacom Cup was played between 7 March and 16 May 2014 and was the 17th edition of this annual domestic cup competition. This edition of the Vodacom Cup was played between fourteen provincial rugby union teams in South Africa from the Currie Cup Premier and First Divisions, as well as the and from Kenya. Competition There were sixteen teams participating in the 2014 Vodacom Cup competition. These teams were geographically divided into two sections, with eight teams in each section. Teams played all the teams in their section once over the course of the season, either at home or away. Teams received four log points for a win and two points for a draw. Bonus log points were awarded to teams that scored four or more tries in a game, as well as to teams that lost a match by seven points or less. Philip Snyman
Philippus Albertus Borman Snyman (born 26 March 1987) is a South African rugby union footballer. He is the current captain of South Africa's National Rugby 7s Team, Blitzbokke. He also plays as a centre or winger for the Cheetahs in both Super Rugby and the Currie Cup. He was a member of the South African Sevens team that won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The 2013 World Club 7s was the first edition of the rugby sevens tournament and was hosted at Twickenham Stadium in London, England on 17 and 18 August 2013. Format The teams were divided into pools of four teams, who played a round-robin within the pool. Points were awarded in each pool on the standard schedule for rugby sevens tournaments (though different from the standard in the 15-man game)—3 for a win, 2 for a draw, 1 for a loss. George is the second largest city in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
