Francesco Barberini, iuniore (12 November 1662 – 17 August 1738) was an Italian Cardinal of the family of Pope Urban VIII (1623–1644) and of the ''Princes of Palestrina''. Biography He was born in Rome, the eldest son of Maffeo Barberini and Olimpia Giustiniani (a niece of Pope Innocent X), the nephew of cardinal Carlo Barberini and the grandson of Taddeo Barberini (a nephew of Pope Urban VIII). He gave up his birthright (as eldest son) for an ecclesiastic career thereby making his brother, Urbano Barberini, heir to the Barberini estate. He was created by Pope Alexander VIII on 13 November 1690 with the dispensation of having a cousin ( Rinaldo d'Este, who later left his ecclesiastic career to marry) and uncle (Carlo Barberini) in the Sacred College and for not having yet received the minor orders. Gian Francesco Albani
Gian Francesco Albani (26 February 1720 – 15 September 1803) was a Roman Catholic Cardinal. He was a member of the Albani family. Albani was born in Rome, the son of Carlo Albani, Duke of Soriano; his grand-uncle was Pope Clement XI (Gianfrancesco Albani). Furthermore, two of his uncles Annibale Albani and Alessandro Albani were cardinals, and was himself uncle of cardinal Giuseppe Albani (with whom he was, for two years, concurrently cardinal). In October 1740 he was made Protonotary apostolic, quickly followed by being made the vicar of the patriarchal Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in March 1742. Luigi Omodei (20 March 1657, in Madrid – 18 August 1706, in Rome) was a cardinal of Italian descent. His uncle Luigi Omodei (1607–1685) was also a cardinal. Giuseppe Renato Imperiali (1 May 1651 – 18 February 1737) was an Italian cardinal, and known as an avid bibliophile. Biography He was born in Francavilla Fontana in Apulia, in the Kingdom of Naples, into an aristocratic family which had come from Genoa. In 1662, he was sent to Rome with three brothers to live with his great uncle, Cardinal Lorenzo Imperiali (1612 - 1673). Lorenzo was a son of the Genoese nobleman Michele Imperiali. In Rome, Giuseppe studied at the Collegio Germanico-Ungarico, and in 1672 he was made referendary of the Segnatura. In 1688, he entered a religious order. In 1684 he gained the lucrative post of ''Chierico della Camera Apostolica'' in the papal finance office; in 1688, he rose to become Treasurer General of the Holy Roman Church. Giambattista Costaguti (1636–1704) was a Catholic church, Catholic Cardinal (Catholicism), cardinal from 1690 to 1704. Biography Giambattista Costaguti was born in Rome in 1636, the son of Prospero Costaguti, marquis of Sipicciano (a member of the Genoa, Genoese nobility) and of his second wife Rocca Elvezia, Countess Vidman. He was the younger half-brother of Vincenzo Costaguti, who became a cardinal in 1643. Costaguti entered the church as a young man, serving as a clerk in the Apostolic Camera, and rising to become its Dean (Christianity), dean in 1669. Giambattista Rubini (1642 – 17 February 1707) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church from 1690 to 1707. Early life and career Giambattista Rubini was born in Venice in 1642, the second son of Donato Rubini and Cristina Medici. His grandmother, Cristina Ottoboni, was the sister of Pope Alexander VIII. He was educated at the University of Padua, becoming a doctor of both laws. He became a canon of Padua Cathedral at an early age. After law school, he moved to Rome to become Referendary of the Apostolic Signatura. He later became governor of the cities of Fabriano, Spoleto, Frosinone, Viterbo, and Macerata.
