Cardinal Ritter High School
Cardinal Ritter High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school on West 30th Street in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis. It was founded in 1964 and serves the west side of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. History Cardinal Ritter High School opened in 1964 and was named after Cardinal Joseph E. Ritter who became the seventh Bishop and first archbishop of Indianapolis. Cardinal Joseph E. Ritter was born in 1892, was ordained in 1917, and became known for his work in desegregation. In 1938, he ordered all of the Catholic schools in the diocese to integrate, sixteen years before Brown v. Board of Education. He was appointed the first Archbishop of Indianapolis in 1944, and two years later was appointed Archbishop of St. Louis. Sarah Bacon (born September 20, 1996) is an American diver. High school career Having begun diving since 2004, her first major competitive accomplishments came in 2014 when she was named the NISCA All-American Champion, and that same year won 1st place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events at the 2014 Junior National Diving Championships, as well as the 1-meter event at the AT&T Senior National Diving Championships, and would be named team captain for the FINA World Junior Diving Championships. Devin Moore (American Football)
Devin Moore (born November 6, 1985) is a former American football running back and kick returner. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2009. Moore graduated from Cardinal Ritter High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He played college football at Wyoming. Moore has also been a member of the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts. Moore was most recently a member of the Detroit Lions, but was cut before training camp in May 2013. Moore also played in the United Football League with the Las Vegas Locomotives. Moore saw his only regular season play with the Indianapolis Colts, where he was primarily used for special teams and as a kick returner. The ''Brain Game'' is a weekly quiz bowl show for high school students that airs on NBC-affiliate WTHR-13 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Originally called ''Exercise in Knowledge'' when introduced in 1972 (under the station's prior call letters, WLWI), the ''Brain Game'' is currently broadcast at 7 pm on Saturdays, and is hosted by WTHR morning meteorologist Chuck Lofton. It is sponsored by Westfield Insurance, which also sponsors four other high school quiz shows. The show is filmed at the WTHR studios on Meridian Street in Indianapolis.
