''Galileu'' is a science magazine in Brazil, which was founded in 1991. The magazine is owned by Editora Globo. ''Galileu'' was first called "Globo Ciência" (in English "Globo Science"). Afonso Schmidt
Affonso Schmidt (29 June 1890 – 3 April 1964) was a Brazilian journalist, short story writer, novelist, and playwright. Biography Affonso Schmidt was born on Sunday, 29 June 1890, in Cubatão. In Cubatão, he founded the newspaper ''Vésper'', and in the city of São Paulo he was part of the editorial staff of the important libertarian periodicals '' A Plebe'' and '' A Lanterna'', alongside legendary figures of the Brazilian anarchist movement such as Edgard Leuenroth and . He also held positions in the editorial staff of the newspapers ''Folha'' and ''O Estado de S. Paulo''. In the city of Rio de Janeiro, he founded the newspaper ''Voz do Povo'', which in time became the press organ of the local Workers' Federation. Milton Ribeiro (born 14 March 1958) is a Brazilian protestant pastor, lawyer, theologian, professor and former Minister of Education of Brazil. Early life and education Ribeiro graduated in Theology at the Southern Presbyterian Seminary (1981) and in Laws at the Toledo Institution of Education, current Bauru University Center (1990). He earned a Master of Laws from Mackenzie University (2001) and Doctor in Education from University of São Paulo (2006).
