CarFest
CarFest is an annual family music and motoring festival held in Cheshire and Hampshire, England. It was founded by the radio presenter Chris Evans in 2011, and raises funds for Children in Need, a British charity. The festival presents a variety of entertainment - live music performances, track shows, "celebrity chef" demos, driving experiences, a steam fair, a fundraising family fun run and a carnival fancy dress parade. Dates Both events have taken place annually since 2012, with the exception of 2020 when they were cancelled due to Covid-19. The North event has been held at 3 locations throughout Cheshire, including Cholmondeley Castle, Oulton Park, and the Bolesworth Estate, with the South event being held at Laverstoke Park Farm in Overton, Hampshire every year since its debut. Richard Jones (The Feeling)
Richard Jones is a British music Record producer, producer, songwriter, bass guitar player and founding member of the rock music, rock band The Feeling. Career Jones attended the BRIT School in Croydon. He cites Paul McCartney and John Deacon among his influences. He also admires Jaco Pastorius and James Jamerson for their "technicality". Prior to The Feeling signing to Island records in 2005 Jones worked primarily as a session bass guitarist and toured as a member of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Sophie Ellis-Bextor's band in 2001–2003 to promote her 2001 album ''Read My Lips (Sophie Ellis-Bextor album), Read My Lips''. An April 2002 concert from Shepherd's Bush Empire featuring Jones was released on DVD as ''Watch My Lips''. Laverstoke Park Farm
Laverstoke Park Farm is a farm near Overton, Hampshire, England, owned by 1979 Formula One World Champion, Jody Scheckter. Background The farm is in size and follows biodynamic principles. It has cows, sheep and notably water buffalo along with an on-site abattoir (currently closed). The farm is also involved in research with the Soil Association. Products Laverstoke Park Farm has won a number of awards for its products. It sells meat and buffalo dairy products through the Waitrose supermarket chain and the Ocado online supermarket. The company also supplies buffalo to the Gourmet Burger Kitchen chain of restaurants for use in some hamburgers. Kevin Whyman
Kevin Whyman (4 October 1975 – 1 August 2015) was an English rower and air pilot. Whyman died in an aviation accident at the 2015 CarFest. Whyman rowed for the King's School Rowing Club. Folland Gnat
The Folland Gnat is a British compact swept-wing subsonic fighter aircraft that was developed and produced by Folland Aircraft. Envisioned as an affordable light fighter in contrast to the rising cost and size of typical combat aircraft, it was procured as a trainer aircraft for the Royal Air Force (RAF) as well as by export customers, who used the Gnat in both combat and training capacities. Charles Richard Wilson (born 17 January 1978) is an English singer-songwriter, artist and the frontman of five-piece band Kaiser Chiefs. Before the formation of the band, in 2003, Wilson was a member of the band Runston Parva (later known as Parva), which consisted of members of Kaiser Chiefs. Gary James Kemp (born 16 October 1959) is an English singer, songwriter, musician and actor, best known as the lead guitarist, backing vocalist, and principal songwriter for the New Romantic band Spandau Ballet.
