Captain Of Destiny
''Captain of Destiny'' (; literally "Cheung Po Tsai") is a 2015 Hong Kong historical fiction sci-fi television drama created and produced by TVB. The drama is a retelling of the story of 19th century Chinese pirate Cheung Po Tsai and his conflict with the Qing imperial army, meanwhile encountering a time-travelling police constable from the 21st century. Development for ''Captain of Destiny'' began in mid-2014. A two-minute trailer was unveiled at the 19th Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART) in March 2015, and a second trailer was revealed at the 21st Shanghai TV Festival in June 2015. It was the first of four grand productions to celebrate TVB's 48th anniversary. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. Cheung Chau (lit. "Long Island") is an island southwest of Hong Kong Island. It is nicknamed the 'dumbbell island (啞鈴島)' due to its shape. It has been inhabited for longer than most other places in Hong Kong, and had a population of 22,740 . Administratively, it is part of the Islands District. Cheung Po Tsai (; born Cheung Po; 1783–1822) was a navy colonel of the Qing dynasty and former pirate. "Cheung Po Tsai" literally means "Cheung Po the Kid". He was known to the Portuguese Navy as ''Quan Apon Chay'' during the Battle of the Tiger's Mouth. History Early life Cheung Po () was born in 1783.
